EDDIE, PLEASE COME HOME

When celebrities get older, get married, have kids, they tend to want to change their image. No more nudity, no cussing, no violence……..

But don’t you want to see Robert De Niro in one more mafia movie? Don’t you want to see him order a mob hit just one more time?

This brings me to Eddie Murphy, the greatest comedian of his generation. I remember as a kid I would stay up late every Saturday night just to watch him in action. He was Saturday Night Live.

Then something usual happened. He went on the Oprah Winfrey Show. That sort of signaled the end of the old Eddie Murphy.

Then he got married and that basically sealed the deal! The next thing I know he’s running around in a fat suit and talking to animals! I just assumed it was a faze he was going through.

Remember the old Eddie Murphy? The one that would do stand up in skin tight leather suits? The one that would tell funny stories about his family that were laced with four letter words?

Sometimes I miss that guy. But then again that’s all a part of his past. I guess he’s passed that right? Maybe Eddie has matured and I haven’t.

Boy, what I would give to see him do stand one more time! But then again he’s on U Tube so maybe the old Eddie Murphy hasn’t died after all!
